Why Licensing, Bonding and Insurance Matter
Current state and local licensing, along with workers’ compensation insurance and liability insurance, are an essential part of any project. At JCB Roofing, we don’t cut corners. We are fully licensed by the state of Georgia (License #14-13082), bonded and carry full workers’ compensation and liability insurances with a well-respected insurance carrier. Should you hire a roofing contractor that does not maintain insurance coverage and an accident happens on your property, you could be held financially responsible for damages.
Bonding gives homeowners the assurance that they will be reimbursed for poor workmanship or non-performance by a licensed contractor. The contractor pays the bonding company a fee similar to an insurance payment. Should the contractor be unable to pay suppliers or subcontractors, the bonding company makes the payments and ensures another company completes the job. Most states require a contractor to be bonded before issuing a license.
